Hi, I’m Terry Cook. I am the author of The Trusted Leader: 3 Keys to Becoming the Leader Others Want to Follow. I’m also the Co-Founder and President of LDN Global, a growing international network of leaders who lead intentionally and developmentally.
For years I have served in leading corporations, helping to develop the next generation of leaders. Helping organizations succeed in their God-given missions has been a key motivator for me.
To that end, I write, teach, and coach overwhelmed leaders in order to help them take the mystery out of leadership, grow in their capacity and competence, and become the leaders others want to follow. I help leaders be more successful in leading at home, work, play or place of worship with solid principles and effective tools and practices they can apply everyday.
My commitment is to create insightful, relevant content that leaders can actually put into practice in their everyday personal and professional life. My goal is to shape a different kind of leader, one who is a giver not a taker, one who develops others rather than uses others, one who is a leader of capacity, competence, and character.
I am the former U.S. Collegiate Director for The Navigators, an international, interdenominational Christian mission agency operating in over 120 countries worldwide. I have served as a leader, teacher, coach and change agent with them for over forty years.
My passion for leading and coaching has ranged from helping university students to leaders on Capitol Hill to leaders in other agencies across the globe with crucial, contemporary principles and practices of leadership and life management.
In 2005 with my friends and colleagues, Paul Stanley and Tom Yeakley, I turned this passion for developing leaders and organizations by starting LDN Global.
Since then, I have conducted over 150 leadership symposiums with over 2000 leaders on virtually every continent of the globe.
I have been married to my wife and best friend, Sherry, for almost forty-three years. We have four daughters, five grandsons, and three granddaughters. We live in Charlottesville, Virginia.
In my free time, I enjoy reading (I was an English major in university), hunting, golfing, walks with Sherry, and playing with the grandkids. Sherry and I are very active in our church, Portico Church of Charlottesville, where I coach leadership and discipleship.
